Womens Health: The Negative Effects of Tobacco on Women.

Since the 60s, smoking women has continued to grow: the proportion of smokers rose from 10 to 22% in 40 years on the 15 million smokers in USA. The women smoke more and more and earlier. The first cigarette is usually taken between 14 and 16 years. Cigarette smoke passes from the lungs to the brain within 10 seconds, carrying so much faster than would intravenous injection of illicit drugs. Smoking cigarette send some 4 000 chemicals to the body.

Tobacco and Gynecological Disorders.

Smoking decreases the secretion of estrogen. It may therefore be responsible for menstrual disorders with irregularities and pain. There is also often a change of tone of voice, which becomes hoarse, and an increase of hairs. Menopause occurs 1 to 2 years earlier than average among smokers. Hot flashes are more intense and the risk of osteoporosis is increased. Tobacco also promotes the development of precancerous lesions of the cervix.

Tobacco and Skin.

Due to a lack of oxygenation of the skin, smokers are more often dull complexion and "clouded". The cellular exchanges have slowed and the waste is not eliminated. The skin loose his radiance and elasticity. Wrinkles appear prematurely, with 10 to 20 years ahead, especially at the lips. Smoking stimulates the production of free radicals that damage the elastin and collagen.

Tobacco and Pill.

35% of women aged 20 to 44 years who take contraceptive smoke, increasing from 4 to 10 times the risk of cardiovascular problems. Combining a contraceptive with cigarettes is a major health hazard, especially past 35 years. Indeed, nicotine promotes deposition of fat in the blood vessels and damages arteries. The blood thickens and the risk of thrombosis, stroke and cerebral vascular accident (stroke) is accentuated. These evils are aggravated by contraceptives.

Smoking and Pregnancy.

Cigarette smoking decreases by 50% female fertility: thickens the cervical mucus, preventing sperm progression, lack of estrogen reduces the quality of the uterine wall and restricts blood flow necessary for the implantation of the egg. Smoking increases by 3 the risk of miscarriage, and by 2 ectopic pregnancies and premature births. There is also stunted fetus that is not well oxygenated. Its weight is generally lower than 200 g at birth. In addition, smokers lactating produce 25% less milk than non-smokers.

Tobacco and Weight.

Smoking reduce the taste and smell. In addition, nicotine stimulates the nervous system that causes a cut-hunger, slows the storage of fat in adipocytes and artificially increases energy expenditure to 200 calories per day compared to non-smoker. The smokers have a weight lower than they would if they do not smoke (around 4 kg). So when you stop smoking, you just go back to your normal weight. No need to worry! However physical activity is still recommended to stabilize the weight. If you start to gain to much weight, try to eat better by cutting in the fat and salt.

It may be a good idea to consult a dietetist to help stabilize your weight while you stop smoking. Consulting a dietetist is a sure way to establish a healthy and balanced diet. Using dangerous product like laxative and purgative are dangerous and not the solution to long lasting weight loss!

Electronic Cigarettes and The End of Tobacco Smoking

Tobacco smoking and second-hand smoke is responsible for around 4 million deaths around the world each year. Of the smoking-related pre-mature deaths, the majority is associated with lung cancer, the rest (in order of magnitude) are with heart disease, stroke, and lung disease. Smoking harms just about any organ in the human body, causing ailments as varied as erectile dysfunction and acute myeloid leukemia. Around the world, smoking is the top preventable cause of premature deaths.

The serious health impact of tobacco smoking is directly attributable to the unusually large number of toxic chemicals found in tobacco smoke. These chemicals include formaldehyde, arsenic, carbon monoxide, acetone, and tar. Between 60 to 70 chemicals present in inhalable tobacco smoke are widely recognized as carcinogens.

Not surprisingly, most people aim to eradicate smoking, especially considering the fact that even non-smokers are exposed to essentially the same health risks as heavy smokers through the inhalation of second hand smoke. In addition, smoking produces greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide that intensifies global warming. There is a general consensus in the scientific community that uncontrolled global warming will cause unprecedented climatic changes that will threaten biodiversity. In addition, smoking also produces carbon monoxide, a potentially lethal air pollutant. Cigarette butts as waste products are also produced by tobacco smoking.

Despite these facts, hundreds of millions of people around the world still smoke tobacco products. A major part of the problem could be that the information about the serious health impact of tobacco smoking is inadequate in many locations--especially in developing countries. Another is the fact that no viable tobacco alternative is available in the market, or that feasible alternatives have just been introduced. Based on reports, the second scenario is more likely to be true. That is, a viable alternative has been introduced in 2003 and is now rapidly gaining popularity among smokers of all stripes.

Called electronic cigarettes, these alternative products simulate the appearance and feel of tobacco smoking but without the negative impact on health. Electronic cigarettes are able to achieve this by using a solution called e-liquid. E-liquid is the healthier counterpart of tobacco. In electronic cigarettes, e-liquid is used to generate a smoke-like mist. This is done by heating the e-liquid. When the e-liquid is heated up, it becomes a clean vapor. The e-liquid vapor from electronic cigarettes is completely safe to inhale, unlike cigarette smoke.

Electronic cigarettes have been endorsed by smokers and health professionals alike but still needs more research and government initiative to enable it to squarely challenge the dominance of tobacco products.

Electric Cigarettes As A Healthy Alternative To Smoking

Electric cigarettes are becoming more and more popular in place of real cigarettes as smokers come to find out that electric cigarettes are just as effective and offer even more benefits than real cigarettes. Smokers are able to get the best of both worlds: they can still get their nicotine fix, go through the physical act of smoking, and yet enjoy the world that non-smokers enjoy: one without the smell of cigarette smoke hanging on clothing or in their homes, and living without a smoker's cough, yellow nails or teeth, and best of all, without facing the possibility of developing many smoking related diseases, or worse, death. Electric cigarettes are a much safer alternative than tobacco cigarettes since they don't have any carcinogens in the vapor that's inhaled by the smokers, and the thousands and thousands of chemicals and additives in real cigarettes aren't present in electric cigarettes.

To begin smoking electric cigs, many smokers buy an e-cigarette kit in order to make the switch. In an e-cigarette kit, smokers will find the main mouthpiece that looks just like a cigarette, except it's made of a durable, hard material that can be re-used over and over and is hard to damage. Inside this mouthpiece is where the magic happens for smokers: there is a very small atomizer that sucks in e-liquid when the smoker sucks on the mouthpiece, and the e-liquid that is drawn in has nicotine in it as well as flavor if the smoker prefers it. This little atomizer, powered by a battery, turns the liquid into a vapor that the smoker inhales into their lungs just like cigarette smoke, except much healthier. An e-cigarette kit normally includes a supply of e-liquid to get the smoker started, and also includes a couple different types of an electric cigarette refill cartridge. Typically an e-cigarette kit will include either a disposable electric cigarette refill cartridge or a refillable electric cig refill cartridge. Both work just the same and produce the same results, except with a refillable electric cigarette refill cartridge, the smoker has the responsibility of refilling the e-liquid and keeping up with how much e-juice is in the electric cigs. If they let it get too low, then they won't have electric cigarettes to smoke.

Smokers are happy to find out that they can achieve the same thing by smoking electric cigs, and most make a permanent switch after they buy their first e-cigarette kit.

Quit Smoking Conventional Cigarette: because you don't want to kill and die!

Smoking, it sounds amazing at times the way one could make smoking of traditional cigarette releasing a lot of depression and sometimes releasing the stress as well. The other reason may be to impress your girlfriend just to show that you are grown up enough to smoke. This may start this way but believe it or not the smoke will occupy every corner of your lungs one day suffocating you and may be your loved ones too. Before you start to realize that you should quit smoking tobacco and you will try to lessen one by one conventional cigarette a day just make sure you have to start it from today and the moment after reading this.

The conventional cigarette doesn't only affect your lungs but it may cause various kinds of cancer and heart attacks too. So if you have decided to quit smoking then make a commitment list first.

Commitment list: it comprises of the decision making. Why you want to quit? Make a list of things that may appear under this head. One of the reasons could be a healthy life, or whiter teeth etc.

Once you are done with this list just make a list of those times when you feel the urge of smoking. Specially while working, or when you are on a walk etc. Once you get to know what triggers (be it emotion or thing) smoking you need to make a list of how to control such moments. One option will be a cranberry juice can or an orange juice can. Just keep it with you all the time. Whenever such a trigger happens just go ahead and drink some juice. It will distract you away for a while and researches have shown that cranberry juice induces an anti urge to smoking.

Now you have to find an alternative method of distressing yourself such as Electronic Cigarettes. How about swimming? That will be the best while you swim you won't have to use a lighter and as you come out of swimming pool just have some juice.

There is no logic when the smokers promise that they will quit smoking conventional cigarette from certain calendar date in near or far future. Promises of these kinds are taken only not to honor them.

Health Effects of Tobacco

The Problem:
Tobacco is the main ingredient found in cigarettes. Tobacco smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, many of which are toxic to the body. At least 60 chemicals out of the 4,000 chemicals found in tobacco smoke are cancerous and have been proven to cause cancer in humans. Approximately one third of cancer deaths are related to the use of tobacco products. The spread of tobacco is a global epidemic with serious consequences for public health. The increased consumption and production of cigarettes and other tobacco products, particularly in developing countries place undue burden on families, on the poor and on fragile health care systems. An increasing body of data has established that tobacco consumption and exposure to tobacco smoke causes death, disease and disability. The escalation of increased tobacco consumption by adolescence and children in particularly is of significant public health concern. Since the current literature suggest that tobacco consumption is occurring at a much earlier age. Tobacco use is responsible for millions of deaths every year. Tobacco use is among the most preventable cause of mortality.

What is interesting is that tobacco contains chemicals that are commonly found in common household chemicals:
* Naphthalene found in mothball
* Arsenic found in poison
* Mercury found in thermometers
* Carbon monoxide found in car exhaust
* Ammonia found in household cleaner
* Nitrous oxide found in disinfectant
* Nitrobenzene found in gasoline additive
* Cadmium found in batteries
* Stearic acid found in candle wax
* Butane found in cigarette lighter fuel
* Vinyl chloride found in PVC pipe
* DDT found in most banned insecticides
* Acetic acid found in vinegar
* Acetone found in nail polish remover
* Formaldehyde found in embalming fluid
* Hexamine found in barbecue lighter
* Hydrogen cyanide found in gas chamber poison
* Methanol found in rocket fuel
* Nicotine found in addictive drug
* Toluene found in industrial solvent

What are the health effects of tobacco smoke?
* Lung cancer
* Laryngeal cancer
* Esophageal cancer
* Oral cancers
* Emphysema
* High blood pressure
* Heart attack
* Stroke
* Linked to impotence
* Linked to lowered immune system
* Linked to premature death
* Increased blood pressure
* Increased heart rate and respiration rate
* Asthma
* Respiratory tract infections

What are the health effects of secondhand smoke?
* Contains twice the amount of tar and nicotine
* Increased risk of developing lung cancer
* Increased risk of children developing asthma or respiratory tract infections
* Increased cardiovascular disease

What can be done worldwide to control, reduce or abolish the use of tobacco?
The WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) has been signed and adopted by 192 States at the 56th World Health Assembly. Countries adopting this Convention have agreed to:
* Implement price and tax measures to reduce the demand for tobacco
* Adopt and implement legislation for protection from exposure to tobacco smoke in indoor workplaces, public transport and other public places
* Manufacturers are required to disclose the contents of their tobacco products
* Warning statements are required on labels and should be large, clear and legible. The print or picture should not be less than 30 % of the display area and may be represented either as words or include pictures
* A comprehensive ban on public advertising and sponsorship
* A comprehensive ban on smoking tobacco in all public places
* Increased public education programs using all available media and communication tools at all levels of society on tobacco usage and awareness by relevant agencies
* Strict enforcement of laws which prohibit the sale of tobacco to persons under the age of 18.

Say "NO!" to California Bill SB 648

California has legislation currently on the table which would declare ecigs "a hazard to the health of the general public" and prohibit their use in many locations, including offices and some private homes. A hearing in Sacramento is scheduled for April 17, 2013 to decide on SB 648 and we need your help. Encourage California residents to visit http://www.ecigzone.tk and tell their representatives "No!" on SB 648.

The Effect of Nicotine Addiction on the Body

Among many other substances that are found in a single tobacco cigarette, the one many have become most familiar with is nicotine, an alkaloid found in tobacco.  Though some may argue that a mere oral fixation is the cause of addiction to cigarette smoking, studies have shown time and again that nicotine is the top addictive ingredient found in such.  Some research suggests nicotine addiction is greater than that of cocaine.  Prolonged exposure at a young age can lead to developmental and behavioral problems later in life.

Nicotine activates the central nervous system very soon after entering the body.  It binds to certain receptors in the brain which, depending on frequency and amount of use, causes the body to become dependent over a short period of time.  Depending on the dosage, different effects may occur as a result of nicotine addiction.  Lower amounts stimulate dopamine in the brain, causing the body to relax.  Higher amounts, however, trigger a response from serotonin and opiate activators, causing the body to numb and feel less pain.

Perhaps one of the biggest problems with all of this is the fact that the nicotine "buzz" is very short lived, causing those who are addicted to go through withdrawals, which in turn often causes prolonged cigarette consumption.  Symptoms may include irritability, craving, and an increase in appetite.  The fixation with holding a cigarette is one of the bigger issues with quitting by using a patch or chewing gum.

Nicotine addiction raises blood pressure in most cases.  This can lead to blood clots if fat or cholesterol are released into the circulatory system.  It suppresses the body's appetite because it releases sugar into the blood stream, a very dangerous route for a diabetic.  For young people, nicotine poisoning can be fatal because their bodies are not ready for its impact.  In a pure dosage, even one drop has the potential to kill a grown human.

Many people think that smoking regular cigarettes can only lead to lung cancer later in life.  The results, however, show a much different picture.  There are electronic cigarettes for smokers to get help so that they may lead a healthy life.  Nicotine addiction does not have to win the battle over a loved one's body.  After looking at all of its impact, is there any debate for smokers that they should seek help and quit now?

Smoke without Fire with Smokeless Cigarette.

Smokeless cigarette also known as electronic cigarette is a battery operated device that looks and feels like the real one minus all the harmful effects that a regular tobacco cigarette causes. It is a vaporizer and the vapor can be inhaled and exhaled without the stink and also not causing any harmful second hand smoke to people around you.

Currently, E cigarettes have become more user friendly than when it was first released in the market. The "mini" E cigarette is the closest to the real thing with a length of 100 mm that is exactly the same length as the regular cigarette.

It contains absolutely no carbon monoxide, harmful toxins and tar that are all found in the conventional cigarettes. These substances are the ones associated with a lot of lung and heart diseases. Moreover, the regular tobacco cigarette doesn't only contain these three but over 4000 chemicals that are harmful for the body.

Some people claim to be addicted to the process of smoking – inhaling and exhaling and since E cigarette mimics the real thing, this can actually help the smoker to quit the harmful tobacco habit.

Electronic cigarette can help you save money. If you smoke one pack a day, just imagine how much money you are going to save if you successfully quit the harmful habit. Although the electronic cigarette is not free, it costs far less than the regular cigarette. Furthermore, it can help you quit altogether which can save you even more bucks eventually.

No disgusting smell with E cigarette – the regular tobacco smoke smells really bad and not only that, the smell sticks to the fingers, hair, mouth and clothes that even if you try to wash your fingers or mouth sometimes, it won't come off. Electronic cigarette is odor free because you breathe and exhale pure water vapor.

You will be healthier. We all know the harmful effects of cigarette smoking and that should be enough to quit the tobacco. However, it's not really easy to quit for some people and the E cigarette is the best alternative that is offered in the market.

Electronic cigarettes are non-flammable. You don't have to worry about the risk of burning your house down or burning anything important because E cigarettes are non-flammable and that also means there are no ashes and no ashtrays required when you are using this device.

Is There Any Nicotine In Your Blood?

When you inhale nicotine, it enters your blood stream and your body metabolizes it into continine. Therefore, checking for continine is a way to determine if you are a smoker. Nicotine tests apply immunoassay technology to detect continine in blood, hair, urine, and saliva. All nicotine tests detect the presence of continine at a cut-off point of 200 ng/ml.

How accurate is this kind of test? A member of electronic cigarette smokers discussion group say the tests achieves 95 percent accuracy. The tests can measure the level of continine in the body for as long as two weeks.

How long does it take for nicotine to surface in urine tests? American Lung Cancer states that nicotine is gone from your blood and urine within 72 hours after your last cigarette. what you can still find in your urine though, is continine.

Nicotine tests are taken for a few reasons. The most obvious reason is for health insurance. Insurance companies conduct nicotine tests to classify smokers into three different premium classes. As a smoker, your premium will be higher than a non smoker. Studies show that smokers pay as high as three times the premium of non smokers. If you remain smoke free for five years, you get to enjoy the lowest premium.

Another reason would be for concerned parents who want to know whether their teenage child smokes or not. With nicotine tests, you can check your child's tobacco consumption. If you have a family member who smokes in the home, you can examine the exposure of second hand smoke using this test.

American surveys reveal that more than 4 million children under 18 smoke cigarettes. Newspaper headlines expose teenagers smoking in schools. It is no surprise then that some high schools screen their students for cigarettes. School administrators believe that tobacco consumption can lead the students to drug abuse.

When you undergo a smoking cessation program, you can use a continine test kit to confirm your freedom from nicotine and the effectiveness of the program itself. You will also find it useful if one of your quitting methods involves nicotine cleansing products. You can know if it really removes nicotine from your body.

Electronic Cigarette: An Approach to Nicotine Withdrawal

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

Now that you have decided and committed to stop smoking, you are challenged by nicotine withdrawal symptoms. As a quitter you will experience this stage that will almost bring you to a point that you would want to give in and start smoking again.

Nicotine withdrawal syndromes include cravings to smoke, crankiness, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, inability to concentrate, headache, sore throat, dry mouth, sore tongue and gums, etc. Craving for nicotine is considered the hardest challenge during the first few days. Though these physical and mental changes are proven to be temporary and these discomforts will not last for long, there are smokers who fail to overcome the stage and fail to quit.

Alternative solutions have been innovated to help smokers deal with the withdrawal stage. Some aim to take the smokers' mind out of the normal action of reaching for a cigarette. This includes stop smoking program and therapy. Other approaches are drastic, making the smoker crave for more in the end.

Another way to deal with nicotine is through a gentle and gradual process. One of the latest inventions in dealing with nicotine withdrawal syndrome is electronic cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes have become the most popular aid for a gradual and gentle nicotine withdrawal. An electronic cigarette is battery operated and comes with nicotine solutions in different levels. A dose of nicotine is inhaled by way of vaporized solution. One will get a similar smoking sensation to that of inhaled tobacco smoke.

Electronic cigarettes provide a better and gradual process for smokers to quit as nicotine solution cartridges come in full, medium, light to none. The range of nicotine strengths will make a smoker overcome nicotine addiction without having to deal with the withdrawal symptoms the usual way. A serious quitter has the option to lower the level of nicotine solution for his electronic cigarette until he is no longer dependent to nicotine.

With this latest invention, quitting will no longer be an impossible task. All changes, as long as it is drastic, will always be hard to deal with. As you have not developed nicotine addiction overnight, you will never be able to overcome it in a day as well.

It is tough to quit smoking but it can be done. It is never too late to quit smoking; electronic cigarettes might just be your key to success.

Electronic Cigarettes: The Nicotine Withdrawal Aid

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

For anyone wishing to try electronic cigarettes, the question arises: How do they compare with other methods of nicotine replacement therapy?

There are three main areas that we need to examine.

i) The delivery system.
ii) The dosage.
iii) Breaking the habit.

1. The delivery system.

Nicotine pads depend upon the nicotine content being absorbed through the skin over a twenty-four hour period. Therefore the effect upon the smoker who is trying to quit is very different to that experienced by inhaling from a cigarette. Due to the slow action of nicotine absorption the quitting smoker does not get the immediate gratification as from a real cigarette. This is a major drawback (excuse the pun).

Nicotine gum is not as slow acting as nicotine pads but still takes a considerable length of time to reach the areas of the brain that are awaiting the desired stimulation. Again, the quitting smoker does not get the immediate stimulation required.

By contrast, the nicotine in the electronic cigarette is delivered in exactly the same way as with a real cigarette. The smoker draws on the electronic cigarette and receives immediate gratification - just like the real thing.

2. The Dosage.

Nicotine patches are available in three strengths: High, Medium and Low strength. The idea being that the quitting smoker starts off with the high dosage then moves onto the medium then low dosage patches.

Typically the dosages are in the vicinity of 21 milligrams, 14 milligrams and 7 milligrams respectively, per patch, for the high, medium and low dosages. Note: these figures are correct according to my research but there are many brands of nicotine patch and dosages may vary somewhat.

By contrast, the electronic cigarette is available in four strengths: High - 16 milligrams, Medium - 11 milligrams, Low - 6 milligrams and None (no nicotine), respectively per replaceable cartridge. One cartridge being equivalent to a twenty pack of cigarettes.

It should be noted that whereas with the nicotine pad the user is subjected to a constant, albeit slow, dosage, the electronic cigarette user can use the device in the same way as a real cigarette, i.e., on demand.

3. Breaking the Habit.

As an aid to stopping smoking the electronic cigarette possesses one great advantage over and above any other method. It looks like and is used in the same way as a real cigarette. There are two major barriers to the smoker who wants to stop smoking: a) Escaping the need for nicotine and b) Breaking the habit of physically using a cigarette. The electronic cigarette provides the answer to both these hurdles: a) By the progressive use of lower dosage cartridges and b) by emulating, in appearance and feel, a real cigarette.

In conclusion, it seems that the introduction of the electronic cigarette is a real boon to those smokers who wish to stop smoking tobacco. It is generally recognized that nicotine is the least harmful component of cigarette smoke and is present in many food items, including tea and tomatoes. There has probably never been an easier way to stop smoking.

Electronic Cigarettes Can Help You Eliminating Second Hand Smoking

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

The worst effect on the lungs and heart is caused as a result of passive smoking. You are definitely exposing yourself to the danger of different forms of lung and heart diseases, at the time of smoking cigarette. Have you already given up smoking? Still you are not safe from nicotine present in traditional cigarettes. As a passive or secondhand smoker you get to inhale enough of the cancerous elements. Smoke electronic cigarettes and encourage others to smoke those. It will ensure healthy life for the smoker and all the passive smokers.

Several methods can be suggested for reducing the dangers caused as a result of smoking tobacco. For first time smokers it is difficult to resist the temptation. After all, he or she sees so many people around him/ her already in the habit of smoking traditional cigarettes. The excitement to try out something that is prohibited is simply difficult to resist. But, this is the time when you should encourage your friends to smoke, electronic cigarettes. If you are the first time smoker, begin it with electric cigarettes. This is probably the easiest method to live healthy and smoke safely. Stick to your decision to smoke only electric cigarettes, whatever your friends smoke. This is the safest form of cigarette as it contains the least amount of nicotine.

It is often not possible to alleviate the habit of smoking at one go. Several attempts might be needed to quit the process of smoking. After giving up smoking, several forms of nicotine withdrawal symptoms start showing up. Lungs function gets increased by 30 percent in just 2 weeks. The damaged cells get replaced in at least 10 years.

The ACS or American Cancer Society reports have claimed that smoking 1 to 4 cigarettes a day can develop different forms of heart diseases and also run the risk of dying at a young age. Second hand smokers are also exposed to the very harmful chemicals emitting out of traditional cigarettes. This happens when they are around the active smokers. They often face the danger of getting fatal diseases caused as a result of smoking tobacco. ACS claims that every year, around 46,000 non-smokers die of several diseases, related to smoking. This happens due to living with smokers. It is very important these days to promote electronic cigarettes, at least to stop death caused by passive smoking.

The habit of smoking nicotine can never be done away with overnight. A considerable amount of time is required for that. The respiratory system must get used to live without nicotine smoke. Again it is a crime, not to give it a try. As a smoker, if you have done enough damage to your health, this is high time you change the process of smoking. Smoke e cigs without bothering about your health and the health of the passive smokers.

Electronic Cigarettes are never a good idea for quitting smoking. Gradually reduce the amount of nicotine you smoke and start smoking electronic cigarettes, which contain less amount of nicotine.

Danger of Conventional Cigarettes

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

Cigarettes, not something foreign to men young and old. Many smokers who find it difficult to stop smoking. Smoking is a habit, a person living behavior. With the smoke, they get peace, all problems seemed to be lighter with cigarette smoke.

Serenity gained from smoking comes from the nicotine contained by Tobacco Smoking. This nicotine stimulates the brain to produce dopamine, a compound that makes a smoker to get the effect of relaxation, a sense of calm. In each cigarette must contain nicotine with different levels (listed in the pack of cigarettes). Nicotine comes from tobacco smoking, many do not know that the other hand, nicotine is a potential nerve Poisons, Insecticides raw materials, carcinogenic by inhibiting the body's ability to fight cancer cells. In the lower levels only, nicotine addiction can make the wearer. This is what makes smoking hard to break away from cigarettes.

Nicotine addition, there is Tar. He is a hydrocarbon that is sticky and stick to the lung, destructive lung cells and cause cancer. This is one that causes spots when photographed rongsen.

Carbonmonoksida is the result of incomplete combustion produced by a tip of an unlit cigarette fire. These are easier Carbonmonoksida binding to hemoglobin (oxygen carrying compound in the blood) from the Oxygen. It makes the level of oxygen in the blood is reduced because the hemoglobin more easily tied to Carbonmonoksida. This is what makes us feel cramped when you're on the smoke-filled room.

In addition, many heavy metals and other compounds released by the combustion products of cigarette smoke. Noted there are 4000 chemicals are produced, 200 of which 43 are poisonous and can cause cancer. Among the poisonous ingredient is Hydrogen Cyanide (poison death penalty, arsenic (white ant poison), acetone (paint remover), methanol (rocket fuel), Napthalene (fuzzy balls), Cadmium (used car batteries, batteries), Toluene (solvent ), Ammonia (toilet cleaner / floor), Methane (exhaust gas), butane (lighter fuel), etc.

It is well known that cigarette smoke has a Benzo [a] Pyrene in sufficient quantity lots. Benzo [a] Pyrene is metabolized body by adding oxygen molecules to one ring, turning it into a molecule called epoxy diol. Epoxy diol is not expelled by the body even into the cell nucleus, and then react with DNA in cells of the P53 gene regions. P53 gene in DNA of human body functions as a tumor suppressor (tumor suppressor). If the P53 gene function is turned off, the possibility of a tumor will increase.

Tobacco ranks major preventable cause of death in the world. Tobacco causes one in 10 adult deaths worldwide, and caused 5.4 million deaths in last several years. An estimated, 900 million (84%) of smokers worldwide live in developing countries or transition economies. The Tobacco Atlas noted, there are more than 10 million sticks of cigarettes smoked every minute, every day, all over the world by a billion men, and 250 million women. As many as 50 percent of the total world cigarette consumption is owned China, USA, Russia, and Japan.

25% of cigarette smoke inhaled by smokers was 75% while his side in the form of smoke that can be inhaled by passive smokers. The harmful effects of cigarette smoke is not just felt by the smoker but also by non smokers who inhale the cigarette smoke.

Government warned against smokers contained in each pack of cigarettes. Smoking can cause cancer, heart attacks, impotence, pregnancy and fetal disorders. Each pack of cigarettes and a good ad in print and electronic media should include the commemoration. Some disorders that can be caused by the effects of cigarette smoke.

Cigarette smoke effects may include disruption of immediate (acute) or long-term (chronic). Among the acute cough, shortness etc. While the chronic is a cancer, heart attacks, impotence, pregnancy and fetal disorders such as government warnings above. Various types of cancer can be triggered by smoking, including lung cancer (the commonest), oral cavity cancer, gastric cancer, colon cancer, etc. Toxic effects on these cigarettes to make cigarette smoke suckers experienced risk (compared to not smoke cigarettes smoked) 14x cancer lung, mouth, and throat; 4x suffering from esophageal cancer; 2x bladder cancer.
Nicotine causes palpitations, increased blood pressure, increase blood cholesterol levels. This raises the risk of death from heart disease 2-3x greater against smokers compared with nonsmokers.

Sexual disorders that can be experienced by a smoker is for Male sexual dysfunction (impotence), Impaired Libido, Erectile Disorders, Ejaculation Disorders, Orgasm Disorders. While the women could be menstrual disorders, early menopause (premature menopause), it is difficult to conceive. For the fetus, cigarette smoke can cause stunted growth of fetuses, miscarriages, birth defects, premature birth.

When it is said that smoking is a right, then do not inhale the cigarette smoke is also right. Let's respect each other by not smoking in the area of non-smoking. The war against smoking is throughout the world. Each dated May 31, celebrated as World No Tobacco day.

Health Hazards of Nicotine

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

Health is the most precious thing a person can have. But we start to value something only when it is lost. When in old age you feel ache of bones and the whole body, regrets about the damage you've made to own health in youth come to light of your mind.

Before the age of 35-40 traditional smokers pay no attention on the harm they do to their body. Young vigorous constitution easily deals with another incoming portion of cigarette smoke, dangerous tar and nicotine, but passing ages give us no new strength. In addition, nicotine and attendant poisons, in time, multiply their concentration, that makes the work of our body more difficult.

This article is a warning to everyone who is still smoking conventional cigarette. Stop it! It has to be done today, because tomorrow… what is going to be tomorrow?

Researches, performed in USA, showed that 25% of traditional smokers had never lived so long to celebrate their 70's birthday, because of nicotine's influence. In highly developed countries nicotine causes death of more people, then alcohol, drugs and suicides altogether.

It is said, that two packs of cigarettes contain lethal dose of nicotine. However conventional smokers never receive this dose at once, it is divided into portions, and the fatal effect stays unnoticed. People die not of the nicotine itself, but of the diseases, arising from its influence. Nicotine in its cruelty is close to AIDS, they both open the doors of the organism to many diseases.

First of all tobacco smoke attacks the oral cavity. The dental enamel is getting worse, oral mucosa is irritated, activity of salvia glands gets low, bringing down the protective function of salvia, and in addition the bad breath appears. Besides, the cases of lip cancer are not a rarity now. It takes place when traditional smoker holds the cigarette in his teeth, instead of using hands.

Then nicotine goes through bronchus, causing their spasm. That leads to breathlessness, and hyper secretion of protective mucus in bronchus. Its mission is cleaning of the incoming air and protecting pulmonary tissue from pathological microorganisms, but the superfluity of protective substance will not improve the cleaning process; on the contrary, it can be stopped at all.

This is the stage, where your body loses another protective barrier.

Nicotine decreases the inflow of fresh air. In addition blood hemoglobin connects with carbon of tobacco smoke, and can no longer transport oxygen. Hypooxygenemia develops, causing harm to all systems of vital importance, especially to cardiovascular system.

When smoking conventional cigarette, the spasm of the blood vessels happens, this leads to increase of blood pressure. This condition multiplies the load on the heart. As a result, people, who are not giving up nicotine raise their risk of a heart attack by 8 times.

Nicotine increases the production of stomach juice. Such a run free work leads to ulcer and gastritis.

And in the end – awful statistics: only one cigarette a day makes you 7 steps closer to cancer. Smoking conventional cigarette more then one pack a day a person makes this distance twice shorter.

What will happen to your organism if you stop nicotine?

At the beginning, your body will experience stress – dizziness, vomiting and total weakness will be a hard test for you, but in a month things will get better. You will notice your breathing to be easier, memory and muscle tone to come back to norm, the color of your skin and teeth will surpass all expectations. In six months bronchus and the pulmonary tissue will be cleaned from heavy pitches and tobacco dust. In a year the cardiovascular system will be restored. Five years of non-nicotine will totally erase all signs of this bad habit.

Everything that was told is possible only if your diseases are not chronicle yet, if it is so, then nicotine cessation is the first thing you should do.

Remember – it's never late to stop nicotine!

Nicotine Will Stay In The Body

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

Breaking free from any type of addiction is a difficult proposition for anyone. And, the general belief is that addiction to nicotine is especially hard to sever. It is a well known fact that nicotine constitutes an addictive drug. It leads to many undesirable changes in the human brain. These changes and mutations may incite traditional smokers to smoke even more often and more number of nicotine cigarettes. Addictive substances like nicotine can wreak havoc on your body system and as a result, unpleasant withdrawal symptoms could be noticed when you try quitting the habit. When nicotine is present in the body system a hard core traditional smoker might feel good. Conversely, when it is not present the same tobacco smoker may experience different types of bad feelings. One may wonder how long nicotine stays in one's body.

It is reported, and it is true information, that traditional cigarettes and other tobacco products are addictive in nature. The substance contained in traditional cigarettes and tobacco products that leads to addiction is nicotine. Even though there are hundreds of other dangerous chemicals in traditional cigarette smoke, nicotine is the substance that is of concern to the scientists. Albeit the other chemicals in tobacco products are harmful, they do not exhibit the addictive qualities nicotine exhibit; or so, it is believed. It was also stated in the report that a nicotine addict's behaviour and characteristics are similar to that exhibited by heroin addicts.

Before we get into the question of how long, the substance, nicotine stays in the smoker's body it would be helpful to understand that as and when somebody smokes a cigarette, his body responds almost without delay to the nicotine contained in the cigarette smoke. It causes elevation of blood pressure for a short period of time, increases the heart rates and increases the flow of blood pumped out from the heart. As a grave consequence, during the process, the arteries will get shrunk over time. Carbon monoxide that is present in the smoke of traditional cigarettes reduces the quantity of oxygen the blood normally carries and supplies; so, there is an oxygen deficit. And, with the combination of the soporific effects of nicotine, it leads to an imbalance in the amount of oxygen the human blood can supply to the smoker's essential organs.

So, the question now is- how long does this nicotine stay in a person's body? The answer is that about 90 percent of it will get metabolized by the liver. In addition to that, the kidneys get rid of nicotine or excrete nicotine very rapidly. The nicotine that gets ingested into the blood stream stays there for about two hours. And, this is what is termed as half-life in medical terminology. Since smokers go on to smoke several traditional cigarettes during a 24-hour period, chances are that quite a good quantity of nicotine will get accumulated in the human body. So, one will be able to deduce that the nicotine present in the body would stay there at high levels for up to nine hours after a tobacco cigarette is smoked.

Reasons to Stop Nicotine

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

The dangers of nicotine are widely known. In addition to lung cancer, nicotine also leads to heart disease, high blood pressure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD. Nicotine can also lead to other health risks, such as diabetes and obesity.

The health benefits of quitting nicotine are significant, no matter your age or how long you've been smoking tobacco. What's more, the benefits of quitting can be experienced almost immediately after your last tobacco cigarette, and continue throughout your life.

In case you're looking for a reason to quit, here are a few examples:

•Longer Life-Expectancy
Studies suggest that nicotine can reduce an individual's lifespan by as much as fifteen years. Ex-traditional smokers live longer than those who don't quit, no matter when they decided to stop. It's never too late to increase your life-expectancy by quitting.

•Harmful Secondhand Smoke
Secondhand smoke can be just as harmful as firsthand, especially to children, the elderly and those with breathing disorders, such as asthma. Smokers aren't the only ones who benefit from giving up nicotine: everyone in their lives will reap the rewards, as well.

•Cost
Traditional cigarette prices and taxes have climbed to staggering heights in recent years, and will probably only increase over time. Kicking the habit can help you save hundreds, even thousands, of dollars each year!

•Setting an Example
Many people who use tobacco learned the habit from a parent or family member. Because of this, many smokers decide to quit because of the bad example they're setting for their children, grandchildren and other loved ones.

•Improved Physical Appearance
Lighting up can lead to many physical imperfections. These can include stained teeth, skin and fingernails, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Nicotine also causes bad breath and makes your clothes, car, house and other belongings smell badly.

•Social Acceptance
Not long ago, nicotine was considered cool and even chic. Nowadays, nicotine is frowned upon and prohibited in most establishments, including restaurants, bars and hotels.

•Risk During Pregnancy
Many women quit when they become pregnant due to the enormous risks posed to their infants, such as premature birth and low birth weight. Breastfeeding moms should also abstain, as nicotine can be transmitted though breast milk.

There are many methods available to help you kick the habit, such as electronic cigarettes. No matter the method you choose, quitting now can improve your health, body function, physical appearance and self-esteem. And although quitting can be difficult, the rewards are well worth the effort. To be able to say, "I quit smoking nicotine!" can be one of the greatest accomplishments of a lifetime, and will allow you to serve as hope and inspiration for others.

Want to Live Happily Ever After? Stop Regular Smoking!

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

Smokers claim that cigarettes have become such an essential part of their daily routine that now it's impossible to stop smoking. Stressed or bored, in pain or for pleasure grab a cigarette and all your problems will vanish into thin air! That's something which almost all smokers commonly believe in and practically do it as well. Got laid off from work? Partner just left? Hurt? Feeling lonely? Or smoking just because there's nothing else to do? What excuse do you have? While you're smoking your worries away or letting time pass, there might be a small child around you, cheerfully playing with his toys or may be cluelessly looking at you. Has your wife ever asked you to stop regular smoking for the sake of your children?

What? You don't smoke at home? Fair enough!! What about parks and public buses? Even if you ensure no children are near you while you smoke, do you also make sure you wash your hands and brush your teeth before you pick up your child? Conventional smoking is injurious to your child's health. It contaminates the indoor air and affects your child's lungs which are still in the developmental phase. Have you noticed your child rubbing their eyes repeatedly, or coughing while you smoke tobacco? This is not something to be taken too lightly. Passive tobacco smoke contains more than 4000 chemical compounds. Dear Daddy, if you don't stop smoking tobacco now you will die.

Even pregnant women are at a risk of birth complications when exposed to passive conventional smoking. Either the baby will be delivered premature or he will have low weight. Secondhand tobacco smoke slows down the growth rate in children.

Not only is your habit dangerous for your family, but it is also affecting your own health. When was the last time you visited a doctor? What did they tell? Did they stress on 'why' you must stop smoking tobacco? Nicotine present in tobacco enters your lungs and quickly travels to the brain through your bloodstream making you addicted. Not getting the required amount of nicotine can make one feel lethargic and energy drained. As years pass by, it can cause breathing problems leading to congestion and chronic asthma. Some conventional smokers are also at a risk of developing heart diseases and lung cancer. Do you know smoking tobacco is the number one cause of preventable deaths in United States and other countries? It damages almost every organ in the body. And that is why doctors keep advising their patients to stop smoking tobacco.

Smoking tobacco not only affects your health, but it also damages your appearance. For a child, his parents are his role models. Your wrinkled skin, stained teeth, yellow nails and bad breath can scare children away. Protect yourself and your loved ones from being vulnerable to a number of diseases and an early death. Wondering what you can do to stop smoking tobacco? Well you could cut down the number of traditional cigarettes you smoke in a day. Let your family and friends know. Exercise and stay healthy. Proper planning and a strong resolve to quit altogether. These can take time and sometimes a lost relationship as people become so irritable and cranky when they go cold turkey.

Cancer and Alcohol

The diseases produced by the alcohol are:

Cancers of the mouth, throat, voice box, and esophagus: Alcohol use clearly raises the risk of these cancers. The combined use of alcohol and tobacco increases the risk of these cancers far more than the effects of either drinking or smoking alone. This may be because alcohol can act as a solvent, helping harmful chemicals in tobacco to get into the cells lining the digestive tract. Alcohol may also slow down these cells' ability to repair DNA damage caused by chemicals in tobacco.

Liver cancer: Long-term alcohol use has been linked to an increased risk of liver cancer. Regular, heavy alcohol use can damage the liver, leading to inflammation. This, in turn, may raise the risk of liver cancer.

Breast cancer: Regular consumption of even a few drinks per week is associated with an increased risk of breast cancer in women. This risk may be especially high in women who do not get enough folate in their diet or through supplements. Alcohol can affect estrogen levels in the body, which may explain some of the increased risk. Reducing alcohol intake may be an important way for many women to lower their risk of breast cancer.

Colorectal cancer: Alcohol use has been linked with a higher risk of cancers of the colon and rectum. The evidence for such a link is generally stronger in men than in women, although studies have found the link in both sexes.

A study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, suggested that between three and six small glasses of wine a week was linked to a 15% increase in risk.

The study, which followed 105,986 people for nearly 28 years, said the increase was "small". Experts said cutting down on alcohol could reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Other studies have linked the effect of drinking alcohol to cancer, but the authors of this study argued that the effect of low-level drinking had not been fully explored.

In women who never consumed alcohol, there were 281 breast cancers per 100,000 women per year. That increased to 333 cancers for people drinking between three and six glasses of wine per week. There was a much greater increase, to 413, for those consuming more than 19 glasses. 'Small'
One of the researchers said: "We did find an increased risk at low levels of use, but the risk was quite small.

Although the exact mechanism for the association between alcohol consumption and cancer is not known, one probable explanation would involve alcohol's effects on circulating oestrogen levels. Breakthrough of this disease, an expert said: This study adds weight to what we already know; regularly drinking alcohol can increase your risk of developing breast cancer. We do know that limiting your alcohol intake can decrease your risk of developing the disease, as can maintaining a healthy weight, and being physically active.

This study adds to already strong evidence that drinking even small amounts of alcohol increases the risk of breast cancer.
Cutting down on alcohol can reduce the chance of developing breast cancer - as can keeping a healthy weight and being physically active. A healthy lifestyle isn't a guarantee against cancer but it helps stack the odds in our favor.

Tobacco Warning: Even Non-Smokers Are At Risk

Visit http://www.ecigzone.tk

Smoking or puffing a tobacco cigarette is a vice that literally enslaves millions of people around the world. It is amazing how a small roll of finely cut tobacco, enclosed in a thin, paper wrapper could cause so much addiction. More than just an addiction, tobacco smoking is a very serious health risk. In fact, the World Health Organization says that traditional cigarette smoking is responsible for at least five million deaths each year. The WHO also estimates that at least 650 million people (the estimated total number of traditional smokers around the world today) will eventually die due to tobacco-related diseases. The said agency also released strong warnings about tobacco smoking during pregnancy. Pregnant women who smoke are at high risk of giving birth to premature or underweight babies. Some birth defects have been attributed to tobacco cigarette use. Smokers have been found to be overwhelmingly more prone to heart disease and respiratory problems compared with non-smokers.

In another study, the American Cancer Society pointed out that about 3,000 non-smoking adults die each year of lung cancer because of the effects of second-hand smoke. Second-hand smoke is a mixture of the traditional smoke from the burning end of a tobacco cigarette, pipe, or cigar. The traditional smoke exhaled by smokers are involuntarily inhaled by non-smokers. The second-hand smoke actually lingers in the air for several hours where a smoker puffed a tobacco cigarette. Second-hand smoke, also known as Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) is now considered by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a cause of cancer, a classification that has long been made by various health and medical associations. Second-hand smoke contains formaldehyde, benzene, vinyl chloride, arsenic ammonia, and hydrogen cyanide --- all of which are toxic or carcinogenic. Cited below are some of the facts and important information about the risks of traditional smoking and exposure to second-hand smoke:

* One in two lifetime traditional smokers will die as a result of tobacco cigarette use;
* The mixture of nicotine and carbon monoxide in each tobacco cigarette can increase blood pressure and heart rate;
* Tobacco smoking is a leading cause of stroke and heart attack;
* The tar coats your lungs like a soot in a chimney and causes cancer;
* It is a slow way to die. You may get emphysema, bronchitis, and other cardio-pulmonary diseases; and
* Traditional smokers are more prone to lung cancer, head and neck cancer, pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, colorectal cancer, stomach cancer, bladder cancer, cervical cancer, and even breast cancer.

Quitting smoking is a difficult undertaking that demands discipline and commitment. Some can quit "cold turkey" while other need professional help and medication. Nicotine replacements in the form of patches have also been released in the market to help smokers who want to stop their habit.

While smoking is, in reality, an addition --- there is help available. Quitting this vice is a life-and-death issue. Getting rid of tobacco will not only help decrease health risks, it would also help spare non-smokers from the dangers of second-hand smoke. UPGRADE Your Health Today!
